When you save the file in Corel's Quattro Pro save it as an Excel file or .xls file. You want to save it in an Excel version of Excel 97 or later. It's easier to convert it in Quattro Pro than Excel. Excel 2007 is not very friendly at all to outside spreadsheet programs.

Try opening your spreadsheet in Corel, then select File, Save As. Then select the .xls file type extension. Then you should be able to open it in excel.

Good luck!

I just looked at Excel's Import Data options, and Quattro isn't one of them. If you still have access to Quattro and it can produce a CSV (comma separated variable) file, Excel can read that in.

Good luck.
