I dont really need them but there is one tooth on the bottom that is barely overlapped on the tooth...and i think it would be pretty cool to get them.

Why in heavens name would you want to put yourself through braces if you really don't have to? But, if you really want to find out if you can get a picture perfect smile, you can consult with an orthodontist and let him/her decide if there is any need for braces. Not everyone needs braces nor should everyone have that perfect mouth. My mother had a small space between her two front teeth. She could have had the space closed but it made her smile unique. So she didn't fix it. Even when in later years she lost her teeth, she had her dentures made with that space to keep it natural. So think about it... and if you really want to, see a GOOD orthodontist that will tell you the truth about what you should or should not do about your small overlap.

Don't do it. First of all, braces are, in your case, more of a pain than they're worth- literally. Back when I had them, I sometimes had adjustments that hurt my teeth so bad, I could barely open my mouth. And the brackets would often irritate my lips and gums to kingdom come. Plus, they're really expensive and not always covered by dental or health insurance plans(definitely would not be covered in your case). Save your money- for something truly fun.

Ah, you probably could get them, I mean the orthodontist would be more than happy to make money by putting them on you. But as soon as you get them on they will be a hassle and you will want them off. I have had mine for about a year and after the first week I was counting down the days until I get them off. And also consider that brushing and flossing takes about thirty minutes. And you can't get or put in facial piercings while you have braces.

Get yourself a grill! Braces are not to be cool, they are serious & seriously expensive......I'm sure you could find a dentist to take your money somewhere even if you don't really need them.

i'm sure u can find an orthodontist somewhere who would want to get the money from u so they would put them on. but u dont want them! they hurt and they are expensive and all around annoying

If you want to pay for it, go ahead and do it. It is very rewarding to have perfect teeth! But be prepared to be in a lot of pain.
