I had a spine related injury, what kind of doctor do I need to go see?

The only one that hasn't been mentioned and should be right up at or near the top is an orthopedist or orthopedic surgeon. They in combination with the neurosurgeons should be the only choice.

Chiropractors deal with the musculoskeletal system, which includes the vertebrae.

Neurologists deal with the spinal cord, itself.

If you are not suffering any neurological problems, you should probably see a chiropractor and have x-rays taken to make sure there is no fracture.

These are all fine answers, just don't forget about the doctors of osteopathy who can specialize in anything an MD can.

orthopedist first, you dont want to go to a chiropractor until you know there isnt anything major going on that could cause damage to your spine.

a spinal neurosurgeon if you are thinking surgical otherwise a chiropractor if you are thinking non-surgical.
