I know your family, friends and neighbors would likely assume it so why not him too?

If they are both followers of "Christ", the physical should not be an issue.
If sex even entered the picture, there is much more wrong with the spiritual relationship than just a misunderstanding of intent.
We can visit each other, and even stay in the same apartment while doing so, but it should be taken as a matter of fact that for a believer, sex is not until marriage...
and if it does enter into the mix, then there should be an immediate halt and reassessment of the relationship....and repentance and effort made to redefine the relationship according to God's word. If one person was only pretending faith or who's doctrine is so skewed that they believe it is ok to engage in pre-marital sex, and they are not willing to change their ways...then the one who wants to be faithful should remove themselves form the temptation before it gets any worse..."think Joseph and Potifer's wife."
Take Care and God Bless!

I'm not a man but from the numerous christian guys i know I don't think so. If they are strong Christians then they know it's not right (not that that has stop a lot of them) and that fact that he isn't staying with her.
I would think it's just a visit to see the place, but maybe I'm just a naive girl.

Somewhere between "assume" and "hope"
Realize that Mr. "Goody Goody Commandment" dude is a man who will more than likely begin to really resent you if he ends up going to all this effort for milk and cookies and no jelly roll

Well, if they're both christians who abide by the commandments, it would stand to reason that sex outside of marriage would be out of the question, so he should know better.

Men can't be categorized quite so easily. You have to judge a man's character before inviting him over for any reason and be sure to clearly indicate what is expected and not expected to take place during the visit. Although he is a man of God, he is a MAN. We have Christ in us but we are still human and have fleshly desires.

Speaking not as an American Christian, but as a Canadian atheist, I would say that in such a situation, I would not necessarily assume that she would want to have sex with me, but I would be really, really, really hoping that's what she meant.

If a woman invited me into her apartment I'd be foolish to not think that she liked me. She may not want to have sex with me, but she obviously does not dislike me or feel too uncomfortable with me. The religious issue seems kind of irrelevant.
Be honest. How many people that you dislike do you allow into your home? For me the answer is ZERO.

He came from out of state just to see her apartment? Well, the guy most definitely wants to bang her, regardless of what she's thinkin. Hopefully they're on the same page and can have a little sexy time and then everyone wins.

Well, if there was actual communication in the friendship, he wouldn't have to "assume" anything, because they would have talked about whether or not they were interested in making their relationship physical.
If they haven't talked about making their relationship physical, then it'd be damned stupid to jump the gun into making it physical.

If they are both Christians, then that kind of assumption should have never even entered either of their minds.
Sex before marriage is a sin, period!
If the implication, or their assumptions proved otherwise, then I would have to question whether they really ARE Christians.
