Awwww......how sweeeeet of you. You know??...been sat here for only a few minutes reading soo many negative things on Muslim people..and to read this..makes a difference.
I'd say...go on..make her day ..it shouldn't matter what faith or what people's beliefs are to show a kind gesture like this on ANY given day.

I would get her a nice card and a gift card for a box of chocolates.
I have a low opinion of over-zealous Muslims, but none the less I have met far more really grounded Muslims that keep the tenets of their religion in a way that is less fearsome and more the way that I think their prophet would have wanted it.
I also respect when a person is trying to keep the tenets of their religion. I do my best as a catholic at lent, so helping her avoid the temptation of breaking her fasting by getting her a gift card would be the best way to celebrate her birthday.
Only my opinion ... good luck to you and your friend.

No offense will be taken. If you just say that your realise that she cannot eat them during the day, she should be fine about it and accept them with the grace and warmth that they are given.
I am a born again Christian, but know many Muslim men and women who are fine about things like this. Go ahead and give her the chocolates and bless you for being a lovely friend.

I don't think any Muslim would take offence if chocolates were offered to them, it's not like a cooked burger ready to eat, now that would be offensive if it was intentional. If it's unintentional then it doesn't matter anyway.
If she is offended can I have the chocolates?

Its okay to give her chocolates. just give it after she can break her fast, which is after the sunsets. you will not offend her and it will not be a problem. I grew up in a muslim country and at the moment I am in a muslim country, everybody eats whatever they want after the sunsets.
ps.they eat everything that is "Halal" in Islam, Which excludes pork and alchol beverages.
I hope this helped you!

Personally, I wouldn't. It might not be rude, but how would you like to get chocs that you couldn't really eat? Muslims only eat after sunset during Ramadan but she might not want to have them in the house in case she is tempted -that would drive me insane, not being able to eat chocs!!
Why not get her something non-edible that you are really sure she can use right away if she wants?

No, that is fine. Muslims fast during the holy month of Ramadan but they can still have a meal after the sun sets.

OK so it's Ramadan , I have a lot of Muslim friends , they do not turn into aliens . She will probably accept them with the good intentions that they are given and keep them till afterwards to enjoy them

I think you have answered your own question. You say that she can eat in the night and also that as she is having her period she can eat anyway. So, whats your problem?
