It's, I guess, a matter of personal experience but I've found that nicer, local places tend to have decent, clean bathrooms. They're independently run-- not some miserable franchise-- and the owners really love what they're doing and care about the wellbeing of customers yielding a nice, clean bathroom!

Beyond that? I've had good luck at coffee shops (Starbucks's is usually decent) and, all else fails, McDonald's.

Lol this isn't 100% true but 80% of the time I would say it is the ones you pay for can be hygenic as there are 'attendants' there to 'montior' that everything is OK hence the payment lol.I would say the least clean are the ones that are in the middle of nowhere or next to a bus stop.

Babies R Us has the nicest ones of the stores I go to. And they have a little toilet that's just the right size for my 4-year-old. And a low sink for him to wash his hands, too. I love that.

K-mart & Wal*Mart's are always nasty, with things on the floor and a general "dirty" feel.

Target's are usually clean and well stocked.

Most restaurants are fairly decent, although I don't like that smaller "Mom & Pop" type restaurants never seem to have changing tables. Chains are better for those.

Usually good restaurants have the cleanest, or truck stops. Both usually make sure their places are always kept up (almost always anyways)
