OK, here's lots of sources, of all kinds and political stripes.

This is science and what counts is the data.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)
Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut and the first Commander of the Naval Space Command

Here are two summaries of the mountain of peer reviewed data that convinced Admiral Truly and the vast majority of the scientific community, short and long.

http://www.ipcc.ch/SPM2feb07.pdf

It's (mostly) not the sun:

http://solar-center.stanford.edu/sun-on-earth/FAQ2.html

And the first graph aboves shows that the sun is responsible for about 10% of it. When someone says it's the sun they're saying that thousands of climatologists are stupid and don't look at the solar data. That's ridiculous.

Science is quite good about exposing bad science or hoaxes:

http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/ATG/polywater.html

There's a large number of people who agree that it is real and mostly caused by us, who are not liberals, environmentalists, stupid, or conceivably part of a "conspiracy". Just three examples of many:

"Global warming is real, now, and it must be addressed."

Lee Scott, CEO, Wal-Mart

"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."

Senator John McCain, Republican, Arizona

“DuPont believes that action is warranted, not further debate."

Charles O. Holliday, Jr., CEO, DuPont

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/home_page/329.php?nid=&id=&pnt=329&lb=hmpg1

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_opinion_on_climate_change
http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/306/5702/1686

This site takes Crichton's fiction to pieces, scientifically:

http://www.realclimate.org/index.php?p=74

"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know... Global warming is almost a no-brainer at this point. You really can't find intelligent, quantitative arguments to make it go away."

Dr. Jerry Mahlman, NOAA

You're right.

And there are aliens at Area 51 and the Bush Administration planned and executed the 9/11 attacks and Lucky Charms is made from real leprechauns.

And there are scientists cloning dinosaurs as we speak. I read it in Crichton's 'Jurassic Park'. It's well documented.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but I get tired of refuting the same old crap every day. Try to come up with something original next time - like maybe an argument that contains a little bit of science. That would be a nice change of pace.

You may not like the political response to global warming, but world has a limited supply of coal and oil, and when it runs out (in 100-500 years) that will stop all industrial activity, for lack of fuel. So we better get busy on finding alternative energy sources BEFORE we run out. To the extent that the global warming hype spurs alternative energy development I am happy about it.

This US government hasn't even used war as an excuse to increase taxes, this argument is ludicrous.

This is more conspiracy theory nonsense

The similarities between 9-11 and global warming conspiracy theorists are remarkable. It is amazing that these people find themselves on opposites ends of the political spectrum considering they have such similiar thought process. Both have their super minority of scientists, nonsense documentaries, and endless extreme left and right wing political web pages to feed from.

Now I get it, the U.S. government is funding these climate physicists to falsely prove that climate change is happening so that the U.S. government can ignore the results and promote the business as usual strategy. It is sort of a variant on the "hide in plain sight" strategy. Clever.

write some black letters of your own
instead of the pasted stuff that isn't even you being silly

Man has changed climates all over this planet for over 6000 years ,

I have been to many places that used to be cool forests ,today you burn in the Now desserts ,
those parts of the globe have most certainly got warm because of Human actions ,and just look at Google earth how many there are ,

At one time this planet was covered in forests

Did Michael Crichton write them away ?

or was there another mysterious reason for their disappearance.

so many mysteries
but the biggest mystery of all
is how is it possible so many people still
say Humans are innocent of harming the planet

And it was an American statesman who declared in 1998 ,in Copenhagen at a B.deburg meeting that they should lower the world population by 60%.

Apart from that overpopulation is one of the main factors responsible directly as well as indirectly for most of the world problems ,but that is from a worlds point of view.

Exactly. So called "global warming" is a multi billion dollar enterprise. People should see it for what it is. A big multi corporation conglomerate that's as polluting and deceptive as any other big multi corporation conglomerate making billions.
