While you are engaged it goes on the left hand, ring finger.
On your wedding day, wear it on your right hand. Once your man has slipped the wedding band onto your finger, (ring finger, left hand) then you transfer your engagement ring so it sits above the engagement ring, on the same hand (left)
You wear them together on the same hand, for the rest of your life. The wedding band goes on first as that is the one that is supposed to be closest to your heart. Hope I helped.

Your left ring finger until the day of your marriage when you take it off and either put it on your right hand till after you are married and then put it on the left ring finger or have someone hold it for you.

In the US, it is (traditionally) your ring finger on your left hand. After you get married, the wedding band goes on first, and the engagement ring on top of it. I wear my wedding band on the left, and my engagement ring on the right, as they don't go together and wouldn't look good on the same finger.

You wear it on the ring finger of the left hand until the day of the wedding, then during the wedding you wear it on the ring finger of the right hand until the band is placed on your finger.

protocol states to wear it on your left hand, ring finger.
the day of the wedding, you are to remove it and place it on the right hand ring finger because your Wedding Band should be placed onto the left hand ring finger first and then later the engagement "Rock" goes on top of the band. This signifies that the engagement happened first, sealed by the marriage.
good luck and congratulations :)

Are you serious? You where it on your left ring finger. You can put it on your right ring finger during the ceremony so right after you can put it back on your left ring finger. The wedding band usually goes on first and then the engagement ring.

You wear your engagement ring on your left ring finger (the one next to your pinky).
On the wedding day, most brides move their engagement ring on their right ring finger, then move it back over to the left ring finger (over the wedding band) after the ceremony. It's tradition to wear the wedding band first (closest to your hand) then the engagement ring.
But many brides these days wear it opposite. You can decide to wear your engagement ring first then the wedding band. It's your choice.

Traditionally the wedding and engagement rings are both worn on the third finger of the left hand. This is why engagement/wedding bands are often designed as a set--to make sure they look good stacked together.
