Yes, that is weird. I am 23 and I cannot even imagine dating a 16 year old. Either he is interested you for all the wrong reasons or he is very immature- either way... it's not good news for you.
If he had anything going for him, why wouldn't he be dating girls his own age? Trust me, it's a bad idea.

Simple: Follow what your heart tells to you! If you feel safe so go ahead, if you feel unsecure don't go ahead! Following your heart is the best solution because the heart will tell you if yes or no!
Besides you are a woman and women have a rare intuitive sense to feel things that are right and wrong also and that rare intuitive sense is always right, if you sense something is right to do you usually do but if you feel something is wrong or out of place you usually prevent or simply you do nothing!

Initially i would say its weird, but a couple of my friends are in the same situation. They are a couple of years older than you but the age gap between the two of them is the same as you, and they are getn on great. I think it really depends on the person.

It isn't THAT weird. As long as he doesn't force you to do anything you don't want to and you are on the same emotional level then I'm sure you will be fine.
