They're an organization founded by a guy named Michael Aquino around 1975. He claims he had a "revelation" of sorts from the Egyptian god Set, who he believes was also Satan (etymologically too, when it comes to the words) and wrote "The Coming Forth of Night". They strive for a thing called Xeper.

Most of the time Aquino spent his time bashing the Church of Satan, an organization of which he used to be a member. Note that the Church of Satan and the Temple of Set have completely different sets of beliefs, which is why he left (or was asked to leave, depending on the source). Most notably, the COS is completely non-theistic. In recent years the TOS has been identifying more accurately as "Setians" rather than "Satanists". TOS has degrees of membership and literature that only certain levels can see; the COS literature is all public.

Good luck on the LHP paper.

As far as I have always heard or seen on TV the "temple of set" is satanism/devil worship.

It's a neo-Egyptian group focused on Set, the Egyptian god of evil. Basically, they're either satanists, or their next-door-neighbors.

We worship the eyeball on top of the pyramid that you find on the US dollar.

The one on the bottom, left side on the weblink above.

Don't call our religion "left handed" or we will "get" you.
