Despite popular belief, there is no such thing as the stomach flu, or the 24 hour flu. These are 99.9% cases of food poisoning, no matter how mild.

Did this taco contain rice as a filler? If it did, that is a common way to get food poisoned by Mexican food. The other way is the chili sauce. I'd make the taco the prime suspect in this case, and stomach flu as only a "person of interest". :)

Probably was the taco and the drinking, just go easy on food, try to take more liquids and don't eat any dairy for the next day and just try a cup of noodle that's really good to settle your stomach.

Could be either one. Usually with food poisoning, you start to feel better as soon as you pass the contaminated food. The stomach flu usually takes a few days to get over.

Food poisoning lasts a day or 2. Flu lasts much longer. (Oh and "24 hour flu" is food poisioning.)

And food poisoning can take a long time to actually set in...so you can't assume it was the taco.

Sounds like food poisoning, which hits hard and fast after the offending food is eaten, then goes away soon.
Flu sticks around longer... so if you're better tonight and better tomorrow... it's definitely food poisoning... which can make you feel like you're going to die.

I think because you feel better after throwing up it is probably food poisoning. After you have gotten rid of the poisoned food you usually feel better soon after.
