are there any hardware differences between a UK ps3 and a Japanes ps3?

In all the previous Playstations there have been issues of incompatibility DELIBERATELY engineered into different versions of the counsels. I don't know about the UK version, but the US version can not play games directly from Japan unless it has been altered to play imports or runs some sort of import spoofing software. using either one of those voids the warranty.

Japanese controllers are probably smaller, since they are small people that could be it, and they could also have different hardware as i heard myself, such as the main board
