No, because I'm intelligent and can make my own decisions. I don't need "a god" to tell me how to be moral and keep on the straight and narrow. I already know how to. My parents actually taught me how.

I do believe in God. When there is a major world crisis such a 911, people say where is god. If he exists how could allow such a thing to happen. People assume that God is some superhero who can stop time and the actions of man. But this is not true, because he gave us free will. The wil do commit right or wrong. We all have the will to liv a good life or a bad life, and when we die we get judged for how we have lived.

Other reasons why i believe are saints that have buried and havent decomposed. Their bodies are still in perfect state, as though they were asleep. An example is Saint Berndatte, a french girl who saw the Virgin Mary. Other apparitions include medjugorje, where a group of children saw Mary and some of those children still continue to see her.

I also know bits from the bible, although i have never fully studied it, bit i just feel inside me that he does exist, and that we are not alone.

I believe in nothing, because a belief is an idea one accepts as true without any proof. I questioned the family religion from an early age, I look critically and objectively at all evidence and think hard and long about it, so I have knowledge, not mere beliefs. There are contradictions and ignorance of science and reality galore in the Bible. A deity who created the universe could not be so ignorant about it, but men who claim to speak for gods were and are quite ignorant. If you don't believe in Ahuramazda, Allah, Amon, Baal, Brahma, Marduk, Odin, Yu Ti, Zeus, the Flying Spaghetti Monster or the many other deities men have invented, why not? Well, I do not accept your god for better reasons than you do not accept these gods. I can go through the Bible and give you dozens of reasons for not accepting it as true. How about First Kings 7:23 and Chronicles 4:2-5 both indicating that pi is 3.00. I have worked in engineering, so I know I cannot use the Bible value without badly messing up my work. From Genesis to Revelation, the sky is said to be a solid dome a few miles above us. That is quite ridiculous. I can continue with such errors a long time. I may write a book about this.

I have never disbelieved in god, as far back as I can remember, I have always known God is real.
Every time I have looked into it, it seems either the facts add up to support the truth of God existing; or, at the worst, it comes to a neutral conclusion.
Basically, on a philosopical level, it comes down to the question 'why/how is there something/anything, rather than nothing? This is a question that can never be answered solely by science, as it deals with things that can never be observed. Also, when a scientist as well known and respected as Stephen Jay Gould is willing to say that, as far as he can see, the theory of evolution could fit into a theistic or atheistic worldview as easily, this implies there are limits to how much we can find out with science.
I apologise fo my long sentences.

Yes I do.Alot of people think that they are intelligent because they dont believe in Him. But before you give me a thumbs down then read this.
There is already scientific proof that Jesus existed. But who was He? Was He a good teacher? a prophet?
The answer is that He was either a liar, or a lunatic, or He was everything that he said he was. Because,

He claimed to be the Son of God. So he could have been as liar except that everything he said would happen actually happened and all the advice he gave made sense.

He could have been a lunatic because he was willing to go through more torture then any other human being has ever gone through with protesting at all. But while He hung on the cross He said, "Father forgive them foirm they know not what they do."

So I say that He is everything he said he was because the other two do not make sense. Now if He was the Son of God and everything He said is true then their IS a God who is all knowing, all seeing, and all powerful.
Before you claim that there is no God I hope that you will do all your own research because that is pretty serious to say that there is no God.

I have no problem with the idea of a "god" per se (whatever that means!). Its just when people attach all sorts of silly ideas onto him/her/it. Why should anyone make claims that a particular god made the world? Why would any god make sure mankind knows that he and he only made the world? Purely to get respect and authority. No real decent being would treat and confuse people like that. No really spiritual priest would introduce ideas like that unless he was dealing with a barbaric and unintelligent population.

We are an educated people and are sceptical of such claims quite justifiably so. Basically I recognise there are people much more able and gifted than myself in this world. I also recognise that there may be life forces that are so "advanced" they don't need to rely on the sort of body a human being needs. Its not an article of belief or faith - its just a certain openness of mind.

Yes I do believe in God. I was converted to the christian faith when I was 20yrs old.
Before conversion I was a confirmed atheist and the very thought of God or his Son Jesus Christ made me very angry.
It was not my wish to be saved, because if it happened to me I would have been ridiculed by my workmates and family, I would have lost all my friends and it would have impacted on my lifestyle. No I did not want anything to do with God.

But wait a minute this did happen!!

I did not want it to happen I could not make it happen. So what happened?
The Holy Spirit revealed The Lord Jesus Christ to me in a prayer meeting of college students which I was doing my best to disrupt.
How can I deny my Lord when that has happened to me.
Praise the Lord he revealed himself to me and has kept and guided me ever since.
That was in 1977!

I dont believe, because its purly a "reason for existence" Its weak minded people who have to have a reason to be here. How can adults belive in a ultimate being. I hope when I die that there is a God and Jesus but How can there be come on.

I mean we stoped beliveing in Santa Claus but we continue to believe in Angels and Devils and demons??? sounds to me like an installment of Harry Potter.. dont you think??

Nobody has ever defined "God". That's the problem. It's like walking up to somebody on the street and asking, "Do you believe in blobledyblip?" Naturally, as rational human beings, one would answer, "What is blobledyblip and I'll be able to tell you."

Same with "God". People are always asking if we believe in an undefined, empty abstraction. The question makes no sense until you define "God" for rational people. Irrational people will tell you all day long they believe in it but they can't tell you what it is they are talking about.

That's how I got the Jehovah's Witnesses to go away. I said, "When you can define God for me, we'll talk." They never came back.

No, I don't believe in god because there isn't any tangible proof one (or many) exists.

On top of that, everything that has been attributed to god, from the beginning of recorded time (like fire, rain, thunder, the sun, moon, shooting stars, etc) has been explained by science. What we didn't know 1000's of years ago, we know now. And the explanations are much more acceptable than "goddidit".
