Should they charge for the corrected Rx?
They gave me 100mg capsules instead of 50mg.
I called the dr b/c I was concerned the pills were too big and the Rx was indeed for 50mg.
This was a big chain that did this, what can I do???
Thanks!

Take your Rx back to the pharmacy and ask to speak to the pharmacy manager, not the store manager. If it is a big chain they have procedures for these things. Stay calm, cool and collected. There will be an investigation, they take these kinds of things very seriously If the pharmacy manager is not on duty ask for the pharmacist in charge. Most pharmacies if they are at fault will make it right. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF THE MEDICATION!!!!!!!

The state boards of pharmacy will not come down on the pharmacy about those types of error as long as they are not common. You experienced no suffering.
The chain will probably reimburse you for the medication, and not charge you for the correct meds.
Go back to the pharmacy and explain what happened.
