I am Jewish by birth and when I met my then girl friend (we now have been married for over 9yrs) I went to church with her and listened to what the minister had to say during his sermons, what the bible said and one day when he was preaching I decided that I needed to be baptized. I felt just a overwhelming sensation that caused my desire to give my life to Christ. I am not sure to this day why it was at that point that I was to become a Christian but it was my time, my decision and my choice. No one asked if I would consider becoming a Christian or stuffed it down my throat. I felt it was the thing I needed to do to make my life more complete.

I guess I would be considered Evangelical now but FIRST saved at age 25 and God led me. Just out of the blue, I (an atheist then) went to church one day with a friend, with no thought of getting saved or anything. Even after I was initially saved I was still a hypocrite though. I hadnt really given my whole self to Him. Im about to be 36yrs old and Its been in the last 2 years now...that I really have surrendered myself to the Lord...and that has happened through God using my husband to lead me towards Him again, until my passion for Him warmed up and Im just on fire for God without any nudging.

I grew up in an atheistic home. I knew next to nothing about God. But as an adult, I found myself always wondering why I was never 100% sure that there was no God. One day I just decided to say insdie my head, "OK God, if you exist, show me."
It didn't happen that day, but events immediately began happening that eventually led me to move back in with my mom. She had started watching the 700 club, and for the first couple of weeks I HATED that show! I would get so mad at them I could scream.
Funny thing was I found myself asking why DID it bother me?
I didn't fly off the handle when someone said they believed in magic, or they believed in reincarnation, but when someone started talking about Jesus, it just felt like my blood was boiling.
So, for the sake of arguemnet, I did a little experiment. I said the sinners prayer, expecting the whole thing to be just a hoax and in a couple of weeks I could say, it's a bunch of garbage.
I was wrong!
Almsot immediately I noticed a change in my thinking. I was suddenly seeing things from a new perspective and most of all my mom noticed a dramadic change in me.
I'd like to say that I instantly suurendered all to Christ, but it took me a couple of years of testing, and doubting, and trying and rebeling to figure that what I had found was indeed the absolute truth!
If God didn't give up on me, then He won't give up on anyone!!

A very long time. The drawing of the Holy Spirit, while attending church services over and over with my family.
there is no peace, like the peace you find when you give your heart, and soul to Christ. No matter where you have been, no matter what you have done, he forgives all.

I converted after I watched a TBN marathon and witnessed the awesome power of Jesus making weird people with too much makeup scream and cry and gather large sums of money.
