try system restore if that does not work reload windows

Hi Susan,
Please recheck the spelling. I believe the correct spelling of this dll file is ‘msvcr.dll.’ It is downloadable from several web sites but here is one of them:

you could insert the free windows disk you got and boot up from that then run check disc and that should do it
