dani: So what you're saying is if 2 people can't reproduce by having sex, they shouldn't be having sex at all? This would include those past childbearing age and those who are barren for medical reasons. Also, by your "justification" logic, a slave would have to justify being free.

Acutally you must not know history because a man by the name of Morton Smith discovered a document stating Jesus was a homosexual and engaged in homosexual acts . It was known as the The Mar Saba letter , a letter attributed to Clement of Alexandria containing excerpts from a Secret Gospel of Mark and was discovered by Morton during a visit to the monastery at Mar Saba in 1958 . Homosexuality is a choice like drugs and alcohol and driving drunk. God created the world and made it for a man and a woman. Anything else is sin, we try to make life more complicated than it is, if you or someone you know is struggling with this get out your Bible and start reading and praying. Go to Church, see a counselor, find away, follow the Bible, don't let the devil win, there is a church on every corner in america. Don't let satan defeat you because that is satans game. OK here goes...In a catholic wedding you agree to accept children if God gives them to you. The purpose of Sex is procreation..for those of you who disagree what other outcomes have you had..God created man and woman for a reason..and to the one who said that childbirth was a punishment to Eve-wrong--the PAINS of childbirth was the punishment not childbirth itself. So God created male and female with certain parts for a certain reason and if you have two of the same parts you cannot create human beings. yes I understand that heterosexuals have no problem reproducing but homosexual do and that's why they shouldn't engage in sex. By the way Catholics are not against homosexuals they are against homosexuals acts. I feel a person does not choose to be gay, i feel they are born with that and as a catholic they have to accept the fact that they should live a celibate life (life without sex) There are so many people out there trying to justify their lifestyles..if it was right you wouldn't have to justify it.

God is not just opposed, He finds it an abomination. It is a perversion which will lead to worse perversion. Basically, homosexuality was invented by the devil and is a byproduct of his work. God's plan has a purpose and sex between a man and woman is what God planned. Homosexuality is an example of something that God intended for good being perverted by Satan into something sick.

First off, God's first purpose spoken to Man and Woman was that they be fruitful and multiply. Secondly, the very fact that God created a man and a woman for the purpose of multiplying and marriage shows forth His thought and design for man and woman. Because when two people of the same sex, begin to rely on each other for sexual gratification, they are taking what God created and twisting it, (or perverting it.)
God created love, but Satan tempts us with lust and tries to convince us that it is the same thing.
It is not!
You can have great love for a being of the same sex, so much that you would lay your life down for them, but this in no way implies you need, or should, or even can have sex with that person.
Sex is meant to be expressed between one man with one woman.

God wants all his children who reside in spirit form to have a chance to come down to this earth and receive a body. This cannot be done with out a father and mother. He would like all of his spirit children to be raised in the best possible environment which is a father and mother who are married and choose to remain faithful to each other and provide for their family as best as they can in Harmony with his laws.

Historically, St. Augustine defined sodomy well after the time of Christ. It included any type of sex except for missionary and for reproduction.
Being opposed to homosexuality is ignorant...just as it is to be opposed to any kind of consensual adult sexuality.
Edit: I like how people said man and woman were put on earth for procreation. From what I remember of my religion classes as a child, child birth was a punishment to Eve. Please don't pick and choose to suit your arguments. It only makes you look bad.
