Could someone please tell me a natural way to remove lime from inside kettle without using CLR or commercial lime removers?

Put some ice in the kettle, add salt and lemon juice. Shake and slide the ice around inside the kettle. The acid in the lemon juice will break down the lime while the salt softens it and the ice scrapes it away. Rinse with hot water.

Vinegar straight out of the bottle. Simmer it for several hours then let it set. The lime should dissolve.
