Why is it that when I ask a question for which I'm looking for advice from experienced professionals on this board - and I clearly mention that I'm only looking for that type of advice AND I post it in the appropriate board - then I still get opinionated responses from people that have some preconceived notions about the topic?

Unfortunately, "expert" opinions are far and few between on this board. I'm sure there aren't many experienced professionals around here specifically regarding the answers you're looking for. Maybe someone who isn't a professional thinks they know the answer you're looking for? But I can't say for sure since your questions are private.

Well, because this is an open forum where you will hardly find "serious professional experts" answering questions.... this place is rather for regular ppl such as you and me, and most of the info you'll find here is rather subjective and expresses people's OPINIONS, not their knowledge. If you want a professional opinion you might have to visit a specialized website where you can get professional, knowledgeable counseling, not a place where people come to have fun.....

If you want answers from a professional, go to a professional. Do not post the question on an open forum! There are no standards for who posts and in which topics they post answers. Anyone can answer any question regardless of experience or knowledge.

This forum has such a diverse group of people participating that you are going to gets answers from all points on the spectrum. Just ignore those that don't give you what you want. Just don't ignore the common man either though, most of us are much more intelligent and informed than we get credit for!

That's the chance you take when you go to the open forum world. Some people want points and some people just like to sound off. You'll have to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Well expert opinions are how a well trained person translates the information they have. It is more or less influences by their opinions. A lawyer is suppose to defend without predjudice but can you honestly tell me if he feels the person they are defending is guilty they do his/her best to fight for them? Maybe they do just enough to get them through whatever they were paid to do.

Because people feel that an anonymous open-forum format automatically means they can be as obnoxious as they want.

...Seriously, though, do you really expect to find experienced professionals on Yahoo?
