If you SHARE views on the internet, you are NOT inviting someone to begin tearing what you believe apart!! You are merely SHARING! You are not pushing! I have the right to say I am an atheist! I am NOT inviting your opinion, i am stating a fact! If you say you are a Voodoo priestess, that also is your right! I can say, 'wow, how cool'! Or, ' well, okay, but I don't agree!' I don't have the right to continue on and say,' Well, how sick and disturbing is that? That is disgusting! Are you out of your mind, to believe in the crap'? Now, how hard would that be to carry out! the next part would be to ask what Voodoo is about! How is it practised? Where did it begin? Are there many followers?
NOw that is discussing religion! It is the seeking of knowledge that should be important, not the destruction of it!
Why can't it be that simple? Why do people have to be so mean! Why does everyone have to be so judgment? It was my understanding that R&S was specifically designed, to be a place where people COULD DISCUSS religion, not PUT DOWN other peoples beliefs! I have said this so many times, whether you are a Catholic, Jew, or Mormon, or atheist! You have the constitutional right to believe, and worship as you choose! With disrespect!

Yes and no. If your views on religion are the same as the people in power, dictating policy, then it becomes all of our problems. It's scary to me to think that people in power think that God is guiding them in their decision making, and so therefor it must be God's will. Your personal beliefs only become a problem to me if it starts negatively affecting my life, or others around you, and if people try to impose their beliefs onto me through lawmaking. Otherwise, I could care less what you might believe. Believe what you want, as long as it doesn't hurt others.

Why would it be a problem ?

If I don't like your views then I just would not believe them or follow them and instead follow my own views.

You can believe whatever you like as long as you are not causing any irreversible harm to the world and I could care less, if you try to push your beliefs on me then it would be a problem but not mine it would be yours because I told you I don't believe that way.

Well for me I don't really care what your view of religion is! But if I did it would be my problem because I am not the one that's understanding the way that you feel about your own religion I am not you and I that I can't change anything about it!

Absolutely. The US Constitution allows a person to have and express religious views. Those who seek to censor such speech are the ones that have the problem. Some critics of religion are quite outspoken, yet they are resentful of religious persons being equally outspoken. They have a problem with intolerance, and intolerance is contrary to our American heritage.

well sum1 should not forse their religion onto you. If u r dead set on what u wanna believe in, then there is no use for ne1 to argue with you about it. So in a way, yes it is their problem, but i think you should be open to everyones opinion, and be able to tell them how you feel about it.

Absolutely!

Your views are your very own and no one on the planet has any right to question them.

Having said that, your rights stop at the very tip of your nose, unless your belly protrudes past that point in space time.

THE USA WAS FOUNDED IN PART ON THE BASIS OF EVERYONE BEING ABLE TO WORSHIP IN THEIR OWN WAY. THIS MAY CAUSE A PROBLEM AT TIMES SINCE MY RELIGION(CHRISTIANITY) REQUIRES ME TO SPREAD THE WORD OR GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AND ALTHOUGH THIS MAY INTRUDE ON YOUR SPACE, I AM ORDERED TO DO SO. SEE ST. MATTHEW CHAPTER 28 VERSES 19 AND 20 AND ALSO THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES CHAPTER 1 VERSE 8. WHEN IT COMES O TO OBEDIENCE TO MY LORD AND SAVIOR OR NOT STEPPING ON YOUR TOES, YOU BETTER HOPE YOU DON'T HAVE CORNS OR BUNIONS.

I don't know your views, but even if I didn't like them, I wouldn't have a problem. Chances are that your views are religion are nothing new.

No, it's YOUR problem because my just, loving, and merciful god is going to send you to an eternity of pain, torture and misery for not agreeing with my views on religion. Praise Jeezus, amen, hallelujah!
