The Senate will take up a farm bill in October that in part will look to grant legal status to over 1.5 million agricultural workers. Feinstein, architect of the bill, has strongly voiced her opinion on the shortage of farm workers and feels nothing else can be done to rectify the scarcity except by providing a path to citizenship for undocumented farm workers.

Feinstein is confident that she has more than 60 Democrat and Repub-licans votes and the bill has extensive support in the House too.

Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, opposed to the Feinstein bill he calls amnesty, is suggesting a program that would allow foreign workers to stay in the country for 10 months, but then they must return and re-apply for another temporary work cycle.

Don't let this one slide through quietly after the Dream Act is voted down.

DreamAct, I already answered your question in detail about why the Dream Act is a nightmare. It's way to long and detailed to repeat here and has relevancy to my question.

That should read "has NO relevancy to my question"

Looks like my answer to "Dream Act's" question was already deleted. LOL...oh well, others have answered just as eloquently.

With little success.. i think of the yank people that oppose amnesty ought to march like the Mexicans do .. yet how do you convince them to drop what they're doing and march? I keep in mind a time whilst i became a baby and we did those varieties of jobs for added pocket money! We now stay in a predominantly unlawful Mexican city and that they do no longer have confidence us white people for no longer something...My young ones lives do no longer even come on the breaking point of ways i became raised and the probabilities I had...unhappy unhappy day in usa whilst there is not any stability..

lol you sound quite confident that the DREAM act will not pass. Reality is, it does stand a very good chance of passing. Now that the provisions have been updated (age limit and no more instate tuition) it will turn the heads of some opponents and neutral voters. I mean the dream act has now become a legit opportunity for kids like me to show their talent, and both the senate and house of reps. know that. . .by the way, you seem so outspoken about the dream act, yet you didn't bother answer my question i posted, could it be that you too, have no more arguments about the bill, besides the stupid "illegal is illegal" argument???

And how many would really return and reapply they will stay here and work tax free and start having kids to make it difficult to deport them. Meanwhile many will enroll in every soical program that offers freebies.

Already fighting it, knew it was coming and figured I would get a jump start on emails to my legislatures so they can send me the nice "thank you for your concern" letters that I receive on a weekly basis.

We need new legislatures.....
