If you don't like the free speech on Y!A then leave.
Or better still, read:
I'm sorry you're so upset by it all, and won't inflame the situation, but when respect for what many consider to be a myth is enforced by law, "hell on earth" could be just round the corner.
Have a little humility and respect your senses before the scriptures, which will help you sympathise with the atheists and irreligionists.
Progress was built on freedom and science, not Christianity or Islam, and regression will stem from and follow like a shadowy reaper, stem from like the wake of a eeire boat on mysterious waters, stem from the act of taking it away. If you enforce a faith, or any "a posteriori" point of view as if it were an absolute, like it were a mathematical truth which were demonstrably correct, you are running the risk of enforcing belief in a a falsehood, legend or a myth.
It's better to be open about the world.
Following from that openness is the possibility that people will disagree with what you believe.
Meditate on the word "PROGRESS" and be thankful that when you have a bug or worse there's a real doctor there rather than someone with a qoute from the [insert holy book], a little spittle and a prayer.
Remember the image of the shadowy reaper.
Do you really want to be responsible for that?

Ummm... I hate to break this to you, but being Non Muslim in a Muslim society sucks. You would not be allowed to discuss your religion in mixed company. In place like Saudi Arabia, you can have meetings, but true masses are forbidden. It sucks to not have true religious freedom, so be grateful for what you have.

Would it make much of a difference?
America has apparently forgotten the secular nature of the U.S. Constitution. Consequently we are becoming "One Nation Under Dogmatism".

"History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever repeated." --De Lacy O'Leary, ISLAM AT THE CROSSROADS, London, 1923, p. 8.
“The Christian World came to wage crusades against Muslims but eventually knelt before them to gain knowledge. They were spellbound to see that Muslims were owners of a culture that was far superior to their own. The Dark Ages of Europe were illuminated by nothing but the beacon of Muslim Civilization.” (F.J.C Hearushaw, The Science of History.)
“The Renaissance of Europe did not take place in the 15th century. Rather it began when Europe learned from the culture of the Arabs. The cradle of European awakening is not Italy. It is the Muslim Spain.” (Robert Briffault, The Making Of Mankind)
“The lies which we [Christians] have heaped round this man (Mohammed), are disgraceful to ourselves only.” (Thomas Carlyle, Heroes and Hero Worship)
“Muhammed was the most successful of all religious personalities.” (Encyclopedia Britannica, 4th & 11th editions)
“The greatest crimes, the greatest “sin” of Mohammed in the eyes of Christian West is that he did not allow himself to be slaughtered, to be “crucified” by his enemies. He only defended himself, his family and his followers; and finally vanquished his enemies. Mohammed’s success is the Christians’ gall of disappointment… He did not believe in any vicarious sacrifices for the sins of others.” (Edward Gibbon, Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.)
