According to Parade magazine, he is a strong Christian (just not a political conservative), and he teaches Sunday School occasionally!

I like seeing evidence of a Religious Left in the media, and while I'm not Christian, I bet Stephen Colbert would be an awesome Sunday School teacher.

Colbert *is* a Christian! Do you really think God has a political test, Primoa?

That guy cracks me up! I love The colbert report, when he is not bashing christianity, which he doesnt seem to do, which leads me to think he is not anti christian or agnostic. I mean I have always had the feeling he believed in God-- but I am not sure where he stands with God. Because he is a bit worldly and does say some things at times to make me wonder. I would not say he is a born again christian, but I would say the man is definately leaning towards the truth....He just needs to SIT TIGHT in it! Not lean to the left, as Primoa said.
But he cracks me up and I would only want him to teach sunday school if he were a solid christian man. Someone who follows the Lord, believes the Bible to be the entire word of God. ( but I cannot say he does at this point)

As long as he doesn't bash bears, I'd go to that class, and I'm an Atheist, see, one difference between some Atheists and some Christians is that Atheists are usually not afraid to learn new things, even things that may conflict with their own beliefs, while some Christians, since it does not go with what they say, close their ears to it, and refuse to even learn the principles of a differing philosophy, theory, etc...that's what I have seen at least. Might not be true for most, but true for some...anyway, hope I helped! ^_^

you are aware that the "anchor" of the Colbert report
is a character named Stephen Colbert, not the actor named Stephen Colbert, are you not?

The real guy can teach me kids, but the character is a laughable buffoon, He can stay in the TV where he belongs!

If he leans to the left then my answer is a resounding

NO WAY

People on the left side of the aisle do NOT see eye to eye with us Christians.
