Get Nature's Miracle. It works great.
Off topic a little: If your dog only peed on the carpet once, it shouldn't still be stinking. Chances are likely that your dog has found a favorite spot to relieve himself that you don't know about.
I think a little investigation is in order here.

Use Ariel BIOLOGICAL washing powder as soon as an accident occurs. This is available in the UK however I don't know if it is available in other parts of the world. I have tried other brands, however they are not as effective. Find the other places where your dog has peed and wash this area with Ariel in warm water, rub with a towel afterwards. I suspect several reasons for your dogs behavior, either another dog was in the house before you moved in, or he is anxious because of the move. Try giving your dog the homeopathic remedy Ignatia to help your dog settle.

Get that urine gone enzyme stuff...OR put a mix of baking soda and water in a spray bottle and spay it on the carpet, wait until dry, repeat spraying again, , let dry, and repeat until smell is gone, then vacuum thoroughly. If all else fails, bust out the vinegar, and do it just like the baking soda mixture.

Natures Miracle works really well for me. It is sold at pet specialty stores like PetSmart and it is in a white bottle with red lettering. It has enzymes in the product so it not only makes it where we cant smell it, but your dog cant smell it eathier so he will be less apt to urinate in your closet again.

Maybe try to steam clean your carpets, if that doesnt work you may have to replace it, beings that the urine has probably soaked down to the padding by now. Maybe try calling a professional carpet cleaning company. Good Luck

Buy urine remover. Most pet places have it, just the follow the instructions to get the urine out, then Febreze it. Or have your rug profesionally cleaned, which can be more costly.
