Rather than give you the exact way, I am including a web site where you can plan your trips here, either using the buses, metro trains, or a combination of both. You can also include the time you want to leave and it will adjust, even for the week end trips.

This is my help from Washington, DC U.S.A.

Take the Yellow Line from Pentagon to the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro station. Go up one level, walk along the platform (the Red Line runs there), and get off at the 9th and G streets exit. Walk south one block.

And the www.wmata.com will help you get around, but I've discovered they don't always give the best routes.

Take the train. Get on a Blue line train in the direction of Largo Town Center. Ride all the way to Metro Center and get off there. That gets you to the 1200 block of F st. NW and then you just walk east on F st. until you find your destination.
