I have a Wrangler and I was wondering if it would be better to have two 10" woofs or just one 12". The box I'm looking at fits in the seat and can be cut for either.

Normally I would say 2 X 10" subs. Since the box appears to be the same size, space is not the issue. If you are into bass, the 2 10" subs will move more air.
If it's the cost of either 2 sub-woofers vs. 1 sub, then the 12" will still provide what you need.

2 x 10" will move more air than a 1 x 12".

Wow, this is just getting really sad. Please only take into account Jeff and Justins answers, as all others are just flat wrong, totally misinformed, or just spam. Sad to see so much bad information. You ask what would be better, but you did not say better for what. Nothing about space limitations if any, music you play, if you care more about sound quality or high output, and so on. If you are going for output, consider Jeff's and Justin's reply, but not a single answer in here so far has helped you at all with out knowing more information about your goals for your install.

i would go with 2 10" because you will have more bass for the space and depending on what kind of amp it should put out a good bit.
