I have been working several times a week at the gym, mostly on the treadmill. I was walking for 45 minutes 4-5 times a week. I lost some weight initially after I started walking, but have stalled in my weightloss for the last few months.
To step up my workout, I started adding some jogging to my sessions on the treadmill. I am following a plan (given to me by a friend) were I walk for couple of minutes, then jog for a couple of minutes, then walk, then jog, and so on. Each week, I increase the amount of jogging I do relative to the amount of walking. The plan call for me to be jogging for the entire 45 minutes within 3 months.
What do you think of this plan? Am I better off just walking? Is working toward jogging the best use of my 45 minutes (other responsibilities make more time impossible)?
