First putting his hand through a cabinet (and he makes a living with his hands, so why risk it?), and now nutting out on Denny Hamlin, who did nothing wrong? He's been in other wrecks and come out with a smile on his face, so what gives with his trying to start something with Hamlin while Hamlin was still in the car, which is a classic punk move? It was really quite bizarre. Anyone got any theories as to what's up Petty's @$$?

I did not see a similar question when I typed.
And I don't think it was intentional. There was a lot of aero pushing, and Hamlin probably isn't going to chance it in a Chase race, especially if he learned anything from his encounter with Stewart earlier this year.

I'd respect Petty's actions more if Hamlin (who, let us not forget, is 20 years younger) was not strapped into his car, HANS device, and helmet at the time.

I think as Kyle's Career winds down to an end he looks back and get very frustrated. All the years he lost due to drug use and it putting a strain on his relationship with his father. I love the Petty family. They have always been the foundation to this great sport. Kyle unfortunately has always been the odd man out. I would of like to know What Richard said to him after the incident. Kyle has always had a hot temper and so has his father. I remember about 10 years ago Richard was driving on I40 outside of highpoint in his truck. When another driver failed to get out of his way quick enough he rammed the vehicle from behind and was ticked by the highway patrol.

Kyle Petty was racing for owner points. He's right on the borderline of the points. Top 35 to them is a pretty big deal. Then, again, Denny Hamlin was racing for the points championship. So, who do you believe?

LOL theres only one theory, Kyle was dumped on account the guy behind him was too impatient. If Denny only waited one straight away, just one, he could have made a clean pass.
Its funny how most fans forget that, there are a lot of races going on in the field that aren't invlolved with the Chase. But hey, I guess they don't matter on account they don't grab as many headlines, right?
I for one am glad Kyle got into his face too. It shows he still has determination and just because he's a nice guy, doesn't mean he'll take BS. Yet somehow to some people, Kyle is the bad guy for running his own line coming off of turn 4? Yeah, thats a new one.

Kyle Petty saw the camera pointing through Denny Hamlin's car and Kyle Petty wanted to be on T.V. Kyle Petty was jealous that Denny Hamlin gets all the attention, so Kyle Petty threw a little fit. Didn't you think it was kinda gay the way Kyle Petty slapped at Denny's helmet and then ran away?

It wasn't out of jealousy. Kyle himself said Hamlin was talented and had won more races than he had.
His ego isn't any bigger than Hamlin's.
Granted, he shouldn't have hit Hamlin while he was in the car. But he was frustrated and Hamlin did wreck him.

Let me start off by saying (to the others before me who have said this) Denny did not do it on purpose!!! What kind of stupid *** idiot would do that? I think not even David Stremme would, and that guy is the biggest freaking idiot of them all! I highly doubt somebody in his 2nd year of racing who has made the chase both years would purposely wreck just because he is impatient. He has WAY too much on the line, he would not wreck on purpose and risk losing the cup. And he didn't!
But to answer your question, I completely agree with you!
Kyle has problems, he might be a nice guy who cares for people, but you just don't do what he did. And I'm sick of hearing that excuse about Victory Junction Gang camp, just because you do something nice for one person, doesn't mean you can go around beating on people and think you can get away with it. He should have been mature about it, waited to hear what Hamlin had to say and then talked about it after wards. I do not blame Denny one bit for what he did or said. I would have done the same thing, but actually kick his ***. I suppose he had a problem with Denny already? I just don't see why he got as mad as he did.

Clearly you and I did not see the same race. For whatever reason, Hamlin ran into the back end of Kyle taking them both out. I can see why Petty was angry. He is trying to get in the top 35 owners points for next year just the same as Denny is racing for the championship. I think the whole race yesterday was completely bizarre. I mean, 9 of the 12 chasers had problems. WILD!!

Hamlin hit Petty but I don't know if someone else was involved to cause it ahead of Kyle. Kyle will be fined by NASCAR because he hit Hamilin's helmet while Denny was still in the car. Jimmy Spencer hit Kurt Busch while he was still in his car a few years back and he was fined and suspended. Petty has had a terrible season in the COT.

I think that Kyle Petty is just mad because he hasn't won a race in a few hundred years, and he's sick of being 2 seconds off the pace all the time.
Time to hang it up, Kyle.
I think that Denny Hamlin had every right to be upset with him, Denny said, "In hindsight, I should have grabbed his throat"
I think that It's about time that these guys grew a set, and spoke their mind.
