I mean, like - Jack Black is a fat bloke! - I bet that he doesn't have any trouble with the ladies (or would that be the ££ thing?)

thats not true. There are some of us that do. I fell in love with my husabnd for the person he is and he just happened to be on the larger side.

Sometimes the ladies DO like the fat bloke. I am considered not too shabby in the looks department (happily married now though) and I have fallen head over heels in love with "fat blokes" many times. And I mean FAT!!!!! One fellow was easily 350 pounds, but I was crazy about him. Don't give up on love,sweetie!!!! Try sweeping a gal off her feet with corny romantic gestures, i.e. flowers, poetry, all that schloky stuff, and aslo be super kind, the best ever friend. SHE is out there somewhere!! I read an article in the Times recently about why ladies DO like fat blokes. You've just not met the right women yet.

I agree... The reason women do not like fat guys is because we must always admit that we are compared to each other... Meaning, men like women must compete...
My advice.. Stop everything right at this second, and focus your entire life to fixing this issue.
1) Go to the doctor and have a physical.
2) Make sure the doctor gives you a thyroid profile bloodwork. If you TSH numbers are > 4 have him put you on T3 only or Armour Thyroid. Most obesity in people are caused by thyroid issues... Mostly genetic...
3) Start working out regularly and sticking with it...

I've seen some very fat men recently holding the hands of some very fit attractive ladies, so what you say isn't true. You just haven't found the right person yet

I dated my ex who has a beer barrel for a year and a half and to be honest i never really fancied him for the way he looked-But i loved his personality and the way we messed about together then we split up-we have remained good friends since that and i would love to get back with him-beer barrel and all but he doesnt seem to be taking up on my hints-so getting him things i know he will love for xmas and his birthday in the hope that he will realise what a stupid mistake i made.

Ah, yes: pain sometimes drives one to discover the roots of ones "troubles". It might be interesting to try to discover just why the bloke is choosing to overeat, etc. Could be some unresolved "issues" here, eh? :))

Some ladies do - all of my ex's were slim build but my last relationship was with a bigger guy - it depends on the woman not all of us are shallow.
It isn't just looks that count however you do need to be sexually attracted to them for the relationship to work

Most people get chubbier as they get older anyway, especially if they're happy. So even if you marry or date someone who is fit and toned up, chances are they'll end up a few sizes bigger at some point later on in their life.
Also, fatter people generally look healthier when they get old than skinny types. So tuck in!
