What would your reaction be if this was the spouse of an illegal alien...she herself is legal, but her husband of 2 years is illegal? She thinks nothing is wrong with that and that he is entitled to work on a phony SSN.

Her attitude is "Oh yeah. What are you going to do about it?"

This isn't her first time commenting on this issue. She's been here a long time (and through a multitude of aliases). There's no doubt that she feels he is perfectly entitled and justified in the identity theft.
You will also notice that I don't call her names that have to be censored by the profanity filter, as she does me (and others).

Well, ImLuved...she's 2 hot 2 handle at the moment. She had to create another account because I blocked her under her last 3 aliases. Her personality always shines through, though.

Thank you all! It does my heart good to see that besides the person themself and their relative (or other alias...whichever turns out to be the case) we have a consensus. Now the hard part...figuring out who gets the best answer.

I would be very angry because this sounds like something the illegal is proud of, when, in fact, they are breaking our laws. I would consider reporting this to his employer and have them deal with that aspect.
The wife certainly does not sound like a good citizen of this country. Perhaps you could make copies of what our rules and regulations are and give them to her/send them to her. Perhaps if she saw it in black and white, she would then be fearful that her illegal spouse could be deported should he be stopped for a traffic ticket and found out.
You must do the right thing in helping to protect our country from this illegal invasion.
**She certainly does have an awful attitude. One wonders where in the heck the illegal criminal aliens get it from, when right in our face, a citizen spews this garbage.

I would call the Social Security Administration and then GO to (not call) the police station and file a report.
Identity theft is a very serious issue, the use of someones identity should carry a much harsher penalty than it does.
My grandmother had her identity stolen (not by an illegal) she had her credit ruined, had to pay attorney fee's to deal with the court system and was years trying to correct the debt that this lousy person inflicted on her. The person who stole her identity got a slap on the wrist from the justice system and was back terrorizing society in no time.

Basic thing regardless of the country illegals still always have this sort of justification.
As others have said someone out there is being harmed. If the person you know is legal there are ways to go about it.
You can call ICE, Labor, FBI, Social Security, local police and all sorts of people. The gloat shall be over.

Normally nothing if they kept quiet about it. But since her attitude is what it is, I would contact Social Security Administration and give them an anonymous tip about someone working under a fake ssn. You can actually get their attention much quicker if you let them know the name of his employer. And as far as what can they do? They can deport him. It doesn't matter if he is married or not. He is still got a year to go before he is eligible for citizenship and it will be hard for him since he is here illegally. I would tell this person to shut the F up before she gets her husband in trouble.

in the end what you need to think about is there is some inccocent person who that ssn belongs to, and there is legitimate ways to become a citizen.. how would you feel if a person stole your identity and messed up your credit and life by doing so? no matter if they were "justified " or not you would be mad.. so i would say you should turn them in to the authorities. Every action - stealing someones ssn - Has a reaction - ruining an innocent personscredit life.. Do what you know is right.

That person would not want to do so around me, I'd report them in a heart beat. They are being very foolish to make such information like that be known. One is legal and the other is not, heart break may be the end result for not getting legal presence established.

Those illegals who engage in identity theft have elevated their initial crime to a whole new level. I don't think deportation is sufficient. I DO think they need to serve time in a federal prison before deportation. I also think those who have hired him do too. Until we come down hard on these employers, as well as illegal employees, we will continue to have a problem.

I know people who work with other person's documents, I think that they should be put in jail for identity theft but nobody cares. Even if you tell the USCIS nothing is going to happen.

I've actually been in this situation.
I told the person it was fraud and very detrimental to the person the card was suppose to be for.He said it was just a made up one.I said too bad it's still a FEDERAL crime. He burned it.While I watched.
To those who say call ICE.Do it. But they don't care.I had already done that on this person.WHILE he was in custody of our local police. They told the police to let him go. But you can always try. it never hurts.

Report them to I.C.E. as many times as it takes.
However you feel about illegal immigration, identity theft is a Federal Offense, therefore a deportable offense.
