Years ago, one of my spiritual mentors told me this. At the time I thought it was pretty lame. But with time, I see it as more and more true.

She said that here on earth, there are lots of "good-bye" moments. We are always having to leave people or get left by people.

But if the theologians are right, and heaven/paradise/God's grace is union with God and others, then heaven would be full of "hello"s and devoid of "good-byes."

The word "hello" invites communication and communion: connection.

Heaven is greater and greater union, deeper and deeper connection with God, our source and foundation. The same with love. So do you think one way of thinking about God's Kingdom is an eternal "Hello"?

I never thought of that but it makes a lot of sense. A greeting is what happens when we meet somebody with joy. Getting to know God more and more as we go is like on hello after another.

Heaven is one big "hello"?

I never looked at it that way, but it seems true. The process of connecting with God and then ultimately going to Heaven could be considered a series of "Hellos." From the time we meet God, we are discovering more and more about Him and His love. Of course, when we get to Heaven, it's all new and that would be the biggest "Hello."

'Hello' and 'Love' connected with praise for God. There will be pain when we get to Heaven but will pass at the wave of his hand and not remembered. The pain is from not seeing some who don't make it, family and friends. Now without the grace of forgiveness we may not make it!!!

I agree and it's also one huge hug from the man himself- Jesus. Also a place of reunion where we'll meet our loved ones again. It will be pure love, peace and joy.I've heard everyone is restored to their youth and everyone has a perfect resurrection body.

That is a nice way of putting it. It will be a great reunion. I don't know what will be our priorities there. But I think it will all be good. We'll just have to wait and see, and I suppose we will......

I don't believe in heaven. Heaven is here, on earth, if you can make it so.
