Isaiah 44:8 says, "Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one." II Samuel 22:32 says, "For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?"

Just Maybe Jesus is God, Hmm?

Of course Jesus is God. He said it many times in the Bible. I am just too tired to find them right now.

Jesus and God are NOT the same person. God did not send himself to die for the sins of the world.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not His Son into the world to2443 condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

God is the Father, Jesus is the Son of God. They work together for the purpose: That all men might be save and come to the knowledge of the truth. Also read Romans 10:9 and 10. In order to understand God's word this is the first step. If you do not do this you will not have Holy Spirit which opens up the connection between you and God so you can understand His word and come to know who He is.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither, can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The answer is in this chapter. They ate of the spiritual meat (bread)=manna - Typing Christ's Body which came from heaven (john 6:51) - Which came from the water when he was Baptized- when through Faith the body -which came from the dust - which came from the egg. was Buried in Baptism.(Col.2:12) Baptism is a type of the Gospel = Death,& Burial of Earthy, & Resurrection of Heavenly Body -(Rom.6:3-6) (1 Cor.15:1-4) It is sown a natural body, & Raised a Spiritual Body.(1 Cor.15:43-50). <> This Body which came from the water - which came from above (the clouds) was the Body which God anointed with the Holy Ghost & Power.(Acts 10:37-38) Then as He was Baptized went up straightway out of the water - The Heavens were opened unto Him.(The Heavenly -(Kingdom of Heaven). Then God Testified -This is my Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.(Matt.3:16-17) The Holy Ghost -(Dove Body) originated from the water -not the dust. (Gen.1:20-23) This Body in type thru Faith had came forth from the dead.(Col.2:12) as had Abraham, Sarah, & Isaac in a figure.(Heb.11:11,12,19) The Promise is to them who are Begotten (Born Again) from the dead.(Rev.1:5 & Col.1:18) <>The Spiritual Rock in the New Testament = The Word of God. When the Word is opened up (God is Revealed) The veil is taken away (rent). The veil of the Old Testament (2Cor.3:13-16) The Words that I speak unto you, They are (Spirit & they are Life) = Christ's Blood (John 6:63) (Matt.26:27-28) The Rock smitten by the Rod of Moses in the Old Testament brought forth the water to sustain natural Life. <> The Rock that the builders rejected in the New Testament when smitten & pierced with a Rod brought forth both Water & Blood this was what Paul was talking about in (1Cor.10:16) The cup of Blessing which we Bless, Is it not the communion of The Blood of Christ? The True Light had never shined until Jesus was Baptized & Anointed with the Holy Ghost. John the Baptist spoke of this Light & came to bear witness of it. This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him to show. (Rev.1:1) The old covenant was a shadow of things to come & not the very image. The New Covenant (Jesus) is the Brightness of God's Glory & the (Express Image of God's Person.) (Heb.1:3)

This is a remarkably weak argument for trinitarianism.

The bible does not reserve the term "rock" exclusively for Jehovah God the Father and for Jesus Christ the Son.
...(1 Chronicles 11:15) And three of the thirty head ones proceeded to go down to the rock, to David at the cave of Adullam

In any event, the passage at 1 Corinthians is a reference to Christ as the foundation of Christianity. Christ himself (and decades later the apostle Peter) made this point rather plainly:
...(Matthew 16:16-18) Simon Peter said: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” In response Jesus said to him: “...on this rock-mass [myself as Christ] I will build my congregation, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

Note that Peter's words make it unmistakably clear Jesus Christ the Son was distinct from and subject to Jehovah God the Father.
(1 Peter 2:3-8) The Lord is kind. Coming to him as to a living stone, rejected, it is true, by men, but chosen, precious, with God... For it is contained in Scripture: “Look! I [that is, Jehovah God the Father] am laying in Zion a stone, chosen, a foundation cornerstone, precious; and no one exercising faith in it will by any means come to disappointment.” ...“the identical stone that the builders rejected has become the head of the corner,” and “a stone of stumbling and a rock-mass of offense.”

Jesus is God. Even the unsaved Pharisees understood that Jesus called Himself God (John 10).

And Jesus is the Rock on which the church (body of believers, not a building or organization), is built. Catholics are not saved Christians.

Yes, Jesus is God (see John 1:1). The Word refers to Jesus; it is stated in the Nicene Creed, the basic mission statement of Christianity, that God the Father, Jesus, and the Spirit are three parts of one entity.
