and which do you prefer and why?

Yesterday I was high up on a moor in the North of England, at a neolithic stone circle, celebrating Alban Elued/Mabon/Autumn Equinox (delete as applicable lol) The rain was lashing down, the wind was howling across the hills, and yet I would still prefer to be up there as it certainly ives you a much better feel for the turning of the wheel! How about you?

Before I moved, almost all my work was done outside. It was much more fulfilling. Now I am trapped with neighbors who can see every move I make. I'm inside for now, I don't know how long that will last until I 'break-free'. Inside I feel a lack of connection, that I fully felt when I was outside. A clear view of the Moon, the smells and sounds of nature all around, compared with walls that block, and the only sound being MY cats. I feel much more free outside.

Well here in Northern Minesota we have something called WINTER. It's NOT your mild British Isles sort of winter either. It's more like winter at the North Pole, Temps 30 below, Fahrenheit, winds 20 to 30 Knots and exposed skin freezes solid in about 30 seconds. EVen id a down parka and thermal boots and gloves and hat you can still suffer from frostbite in about 15 minutes. So From about the beginiing of NOvember to the end of April circles are cast INDOORS unless a HUGE bonfire can be started. then an outdoor ritual would be OK as long as you're STILL dressed warmly. During the warmer months I prefer outside circles, rain or shine.

I prefer outdoors. Indoor rituals have restrictions for me personally (though it's not always a bad thing). But at the moment I live in the city and it's fairly easy for people even 4 doors down to see into my backyard. I have enough problems without them adding to them lol But when I can, I go to my farm and perform what rituals I want - when I do perform them. Though for Mabon, I won't be doing anything till the full moon (wednesday night) and hopefully I'll be able to get down to the farm - which is about an hour away from my home in the city.

Oh, I've gotten past the age where I want to be outside in a howling storm. If the weather's not good, I'd rather be indoors for a ritual. Summer Solstice outdoors here is the best, very little mosquito activity yet, and fireflies flickering around your circle are pretty magical.

I've done both and prefer the outdoor ones but will opt for indoors just for comfort purposes. But, yes, I've done some outdoors in bad weather depending on what the intent was.

Oh, outdoors by far!

To feel the wind, to smell the trees, to see the moon and sun, to reach for the stars, the connection that I get from being outdoors is incomparable. It isn't the same for me inside.

Unfortunately indoors. I live in an apartment most of the time... Not exactly a lot of wilderness nearby.

I look forward to my next transfer, because it might be to a less populated area...
