Wouldn't that indicate they are separate entities?

Acts.7:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

The problem is that the bible, a single book, was not written by a single committee. The book we have is but the latest official translation of so many versions with each containing additions by their respective translators many of whom considered themselves ‘correctors” as well.

So, we have a story that at some later time makes no sense. The new re-writers try to ‘fix” the problem and end up with people who live 950 years, characters who are gods, part gods, just plain folk, special plain folk, chosen, what have you. The final version is so convoluted and contradictive as to be ridiculous.

It is inconceivable to me that people, with even a modicum of education, would actually entertain the preposterous claim that the bible is something other than a elaborate piece of literature.

The testimony of the Bible is overwhelming in this regard -- they are not one -- this scripture from John that says that they are one, is repeated in chapter 17 and there the disciples are also said to be one with God and Jesus as these two are one.

From this we understand that the oneness is in purpose and thought, in agreement.

Much of the confusion would disappear if Christians instead of concentrating on one verse concentrated on what the whole letter or book said about the matter.

Some people quote scriptures such as Titus 2:13 and then will not compare translations -- for one.

Also, if these people read Titus 1:1, 1:4, Paul's intention is clearly manifest. Thus, doing this and using different translations permits the deeper truer understanding to emerge.

In all cases, this type of global reading and usage of several translations leads to the true intent of the message.

Why there is such a powerful rejection of such a method may be because many churches control what dogma must be accepted. Money is involved, much money.

If people began interpreting the Bible from a personal reading and by talking to other Christians -- all the churches would lose tons of money -- all of them!

Jesus is God manifested into a human. The Holy Spirit is God in the Spirit form. God had to become man in order to pay the sin debt, so that we may be saved from the fires of Hell. So God made himself into a human form so he could be the sinless sacrifice. So there was God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. And Yes Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God, acting on our behalf. Right before his ascension into Heaven, he said he would sent a comforter, and that was the Holy Spirit.

"God in three persons, blessed Trinity."
God the Father= God
God the Son= God
God the Holy Spirit= God - Triune God

Over simplified maybe, but here is another approach.

Water= water
Condensed steam= water
Melted ice= water

Three different forms can exist at the same time, but all are still water all the time.

Hope this helps. Have a blessed day!

Left or Right of highmindead Law is as Loser vs Loser.
James and John notably asked to be Loser and Loser.
James got killed by the sword... Loser
John turned, to what was behind... Loser

Pst: the God on high is Law: "ministration of death".
Pst: the Son of man should repent: Numbers 23:19

Try comparing two Gods rather than mixing contrary things:
Law: I will forget you and I will forsake you: Jeremiah 23:39
Grace: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee: Hebrews 13:5

If grace is, law added, they only mix as grace + law.
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Such is spoken by David and by Jesus.
Such are the words of Loser and Loser.

Pst: high-minded is among un-holy in 2Tim 3,
which has an exhortation: from such turn away.

Jesus: standing right of God on high in the L/R heavens
Christ: seated right of God in heaven: higher than heavens

E-life of Eternal salvation is notably "through Jesus-->Christ";
In Christ(Grace void of law), not in Jesus(Law hinders grace)

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

They ARE 2 separate entities, but ever since the Catholic Church said they were 1 and the same (an idea they borrowed from ancient Babylon), the majority of 'Christianity' has been on that bandwagon.

Even the unsaved Pharisees understood that Jesus called Himself God many times (John 10).
