Ok, so I have been with my boyfriend for about a year and a half. We see each other on a everyday basis, we have a good sex life, and basically get along really well. We don't argue. He is 25, he works 2 jobs a day, the boy is determined. We don't live together but spend the night together 3 outa 7 nites. He says he loves me, but still hasn't said "i love u" it seems like now he has waited so long to say it, he thinks its too late. why is it that i cant get him to truely commit and to take an innititive to do something for me, plan a date for us, take a small trip. Why is it when a woman has needs that should be filled, men act as though they are dumb, or just simply do not make time for women??????

Men are naturally like that - it doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't love you.

A lot of us guys are truly clueless about women. You women seem to be better tuned in to things that go right by us, and then you get mad because we don't notice them. Which makes us mad, because we think you expect us to read your minds.

So here's my suggestion: TELL HIM WHAT YOU WANT. Don't be cute and try to give him subtle little hints. Don't expect him to pick up on the fact that you're waiting, expecting some little sign. Don't think that because YOU see a problem, he will also.

He's working 2 jobs, so I'm guessing that he's pretty busy during the day, so he's probably tired at night. Little things like whether the laundry needs to be done, the toilet paper roll is almost all used up, or the back yard is on fire may escape him. It's OK for you to be a little more forward, more explicit, more clear about what you want, as long as you do it in a fun, loving, non-judgmental way. In fact, he'll probably appreciate it. Give it a try, but be gentle, and don't try backing him into a corner.
