Tabby refers to a coat pattern, not a breed. Any cat has the potential of living to age 16+ provided they are in good health and are kept indoors away from the dangers and diseases outside.

My grandmothers tabby cat was 23 when she had to be put down because of a tumor.
This gives me hope with my tabby. Shes nine, and I dont handle death well, so m hoping she'll live for a long time :D

Hi. Your tabbie will live just as long as most cats. As long as you keep your cat indoors and only outside in an screened in enclosure. This keep them so much safer, then letting them outdoors.
Cats live to 18+ years. We presently have four and one is 19 years old and going strong. :-)
All were ferral kittens when we found them in our yard/neighborhood.

14 to 18 yrs usually...
The Calico lives the longest and that is up to around 24 yrs... a cat is a longer obligation to undertake than a dog...

15 to 17 years for an indoor cat, but they can live a bit longer than that.

My daughters cat died at age 22. Her other cat was put down at 17 due to jaw cancer.
