One of my cats is 11 years old and she is still just as crazy now as she was years ago.

LOL.. I hear you..
Usually by the time they're a year old hey calm down a bit.. But they'll still play, but not be quite as hyper!
Also are they fixed? They should be fixed around 5 or 6 months (Try not to wait any later!! If one is a girl and the other is a boy then do it at 4 or 5 months!! (the youngest age that a girl or boy, respectively, can be firtile) Anyway, if they're not fixed yet, you may find that they calm down a little bit after that's done..

It depends on the cat, I suppose. I had two kittens a while ago (w/ my ex bf) and they were calm and collected about 85% of the time. They lazed on the sofa or in the window sill. I hardly heard a peep from them until night time and it wasn't that often. They were way less than a year old at the time.
I have a different kitten now and she's about 6 months old and is just as rambunctious as she wants to be. I too am looking forward to her "cooling out" stage. :-)

lol.... about 4 depending on the cat.. boys take longer to chill then the females do.. but it also depends on the personality of the cat... but you're holding down two kittens.. best advice.. put all the breakables away some place else.. and as for them hurting themselves.. not too likely.. my boy ran rapid for about a year and never hurt himself..

My breed, Devon Rex, is very kitten like until two years of age. To an extent, that depends on genetics (breed), environment, and hormones... in addition to age. Having them spayed/neutered will help; anytime after 4 months is the perfect time, catch them *before* they become sexually mature. Playing hard with them when it is safe and convenient for you will tire them out so that they aren't as dangerous in a place or at a time that isn't as appropriate. Give them lots of safe toys and pet furniture you can leave out so they aren't temped to break something of yours.

I've had a lot of cats and it seems to take about 5-6 months before you can reach the point where you can expect to come home from work and find the curtains still hanging.

You haven't mentioned their age.... most kittens really start chilling by the 5th month or so, and really do well after they are altered. They are still active, but just not so George of the Jungle.
