TPsalmist I saw it. This is what makes me mad about Yahoo! answers. Double standards.

Matt J: I knew from your answer that you'd be a follower of the big bang theory. Following that logic, do you believe that random energy would tidy a place up? Or do you agree that in order to tidy a place, you would need intelligent input.

Amber W: I forgot what the question was! But this question seems more interesting. j/k the question was "Do you believe God is good?" or along those lines.

The decision to remove content is made when a user reports either a question or an answer they don't like. THEN Yahoo deletes it.
It is only through individuals reporting that things get deleted and people get violated. So don't blame Yahoo completely, they do not instigate it.

I wonder if under their new program they are yanking anything reported. As I understand the program, if you then challenge the report and it is overturned, the reporter loses credibility. Reporters with low credibility will be ignored by the system.
I'm sorry that it was yanked.

No, not necessarily. There are blocks of people here on YA who go around reporting questions they don't agree with -- i.e., questions they can't refute with their fundamentalist doctrines. Lots of these people, I suspect, are the same person with multiple accounts.
If Yahoo! gets enough of these reports on a question, they yank it. I dunno if they even look at it before they take it off. It might all be automatic.

they are equally adept at removing questions that christians complain about, so there is no double standard other that that of not being thourough in their reporting verifications.
You added another question, just for moi? and completely unrelated as well! I suggest you start a new thread for it as with your current question, it's waaaaay out of context.

I dunno if the person retracted the question him/herself or not, but Bearcub is right: I know somebody who asked for Christians to join Muslims in prayer for peace, and a little vipers' nest of fundamentalists reported it so much that yahoo removed it. He wrote yahoo to protest it but never heard back from them.
Sucks, don't it?

That's a question best asked of Y!A. They'd know the answer better than any of us would. If you think it was wrongly removed, appeal it: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/abuse/wrongful_violations.html

Well, I wouldn't go that far. I saw that, too, and was a little surprised by it... I mean, this is the R&S category, is it not?
