Does this say good day, or good morning?

As is written it rather looks like to be the French "Bonjour" ;
however its meaning is the same as the Italian word
"Buongiorno".
Just to make some corrections to here above answers....!!
Buongiorno (mostly written in this way, as only one word ) basically means good day or good morning (but it's not used to say hello that's in Italian the well known 'ciao').
It's not that common, but sometimes we also say "buon pomeriggio" that's corresponding to yr "good afternoon".

It's Italian and should read "Buon Giorno" - literally Good day. There is no "Good afternoon" in Italian, so Buon giorno is used for morning and afternoon. In the evening, you say "Buona sera" - Good evening.
