That's why I have been explaining to people for the longest time, basicaly.I've been explaining that the name ALLAH is one of GOD's names, GOD has many names. Muslims believe that GOD wants us to call him ALLAH. I do say both when I talk to non-Muslims. My sister and her husband is catholic. Its their life and I love them both. At least she believes in GOD, thanks GOD. Its not my job to tell them what to believe in.
Sometimes I feel that nobody hears. Then I have to remember that ALLAH chooses the ones HE wants to hear and see.
"If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let believers put their trust." Qur'an 3:160

Cant we all just get along?

"why don't you ever say anything like glory to god in the highest"
I have! "Glory be to God, the most high"
Is God not just the English word for Allah?
Most Muslims I know call Him God as well as Allah. It is the same meaning.
Actually, you'll find that the religions (mostly Christianity & Judaism) differ on the statement that we believe we are from the same Abrahamic God, cause most Christians seem to believe that Muhammad (pbuh) was the false prophet, & Judaism doesn't even acknowledge the existence of Jesus as a prophet, unless I'm mistaken?

You are viewing GOD as if it is some form of idea or concept. GOD is a person. If you ever have the opportunity to experience GOD you will see much more clearly. GOD does not compromise often. I am a Christian and absolutely love the Jews. They are the elect. I can not be a Jew because I am not a Jew. It is not some club I can join and be a card carrying member. I am a Gentile. As far as the Muslims go I let them be. They are clearly against the Jew and the Christian. Then they will tell you they worship the same GOD. That is impossible. You can not serve the same GOD and hate his followers. That's just plain common sense. I do not hate nor do I fear the Muslims. They have every rite to believe as they wish. I base my faith on my personal walk with Christ. I do not walk a path of my making.
Hope that helps †

VERY good question and on the surface one may think we all worship the God of Abraham.
The Jews and the Christians do but the Muslims do not.
The Muslims believe the bible was changed (even though we have the dead sea scrolls that proves it's the same then as now).
Ready to be confused?
Here are our differences:
The Muslims believe an angel appeared to Mohammad and gave his the real bible=Koran. Muslims follow this and it is different than the OT bible of the Jews and Christians. The think Jesus was a prophet but not the son of God. They think Mohammad was a prophet also. They think you get to heaven by doing good works and prayer.
The Jews:
They believe in the God of the OT and Mohammad was a smuck to say the least as do the Christians. The Jews are still waiting for the Christ to come. They think you get to heaven by fasting and prayer. Not sure where they get that since their forefathers only were saved by animal sacrifice for their sins.
The Christians:
They believe in the God of the Old Test. and also that Jesus who was prophesied about came to die for our sins. We believe on can't earn our way to heaven since no one could be good enough. "All sin and fall short of the glory of God" and we also believe that Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but through me".
confusing eh?

I'm a Muslim I use both word God and Allah when speaking in English as both words have the same meaning. Even Arab and Indonesian Christians call God as Allah as well.
As I bear witness that there is no god other than God (Allah), I don't believe in the phrase of "other God". Whoever believes in one Supreme Being, the Creator of the Universe, I'll take it as he/she believes in exactly the same God as mine regardless of his/her religion and perceptions on the Being.

"why don't you ever say praise be to allah?"
That would be mixing Arabic and English. Bad form.
That said, what do you think Arabic speaking Christians and Jews call "God?"
Please arise from your ignorance, and witness the dawn of a new day.
"why is it so difficult for all of you to make compromises and just settle on one religion?"
A theocracy is calling. They say their idiot is missing.
