i hear a rattling sound in the morning when i first start it , when i let it run for 5 minutes it goes away, also i changed the oil it has 140.00 miles on it.

You have to diagnose things first. The only way to know if you have low oil pressure is to remove the oil pressure sender on the motor and install a shop gauge in the port. Then run the motor when cold to see what the oil pressure is doing. If you have low oil pressure, you probably have a motor about to disintegrate as this usually means more damage than just a new pump can fix. Most pumps are pretty hardy. Get it checked before condemning anything. Most GM motors of this era had some piston slap when cold, but it doesn't hurt anything.

use a better oil filter ,,the cheepees have a cheepo pressure valve so it take some time to pressureize ,and the rattles..or have a fixer test the oil preesure with a gage and see what ya realy got
