Thus I will call that creator... Humphrey.
Humphrey made God.
Humphrey is Omnipotent SQUARED
Humphrey is also Eternal SQUARED in that he managed to make God and will still be around when God ceases to be..... forever..... squared...
There may or may not be many many gods... but the one the christians refer to is probably Humphrey's personal son.... making him special and whatnot.
And I know Humphrey exists because I have Plegdib..... which is Faith^2 (i.e. SQUARED)!
I suppose the real question is..... what made Humphrey?
Clearly Humphrey needs a creator too... an Omnipotent CUBED creator called Nigel.
^_^
[ Oh... and congratulations to anyone who can see the point of all this... ]

To the Badger :~ Touché... but then I hope you can appreciate satire for its own sake. Since when have any of my questions here been any more than that?

To Steven :~ Susan sounds far too female a name for a God^4 ... and deities of the vagina-variety just don't work in this model... sorry.

To grgyssf :~ A line is eternal too. It has no ends... it goes forever in both directions. But then if you add another dimension you get a plane (or infinite square) .... Humphrey is the infinite square to God's infinite line. And of course Nigel is as the infinite cube to Humphrey's infinite square.
Totally makes sense.... and if you deny it, you just don't have enough Plegdib.

To Amelie :~ But you wanted to explain the world.... didn't you? You wanted an explanation for the whole Universe... didn't you? Could you by any feasible means truly understand it all? I seriously doubt it.... BUT you chose to ascribe a God to that notion. You decided that someone made it.... because you couldn't understand it. Well Humphrey is a logical progression of that concept. Nobody can understand your God... THEREFORE someone must have created it.... and that someone is Humphrey.
You need more Plegdib.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, mr Lucid.
And besides, even if you do work on exactly the same flawed thought processes that justify christianity, the average christian lacks the internal consistancy to agree with you anyway.
If it isn't in the bible or otherwise covered by their local preaching parrot then they won't believe a word of it.
All Hail^2 Humphrey though, for what it is worth....
and likewise all hail^3 Nigel.

.... can you see that our minds are to small to understand? Even if you leave God out of the equation, how are you going to try to explain eternity? What was before the big bang? What will be after it all ends, or will it never end?
We are little specs of dust in a vast universe, and we can never ever understand or try to explain the God who made us. Science and reason definitely fall short.
Edit: We are all trying to make sense, aren't we? That is what religion and philosophy are about. You have no more certainty that God has been created by man than I have that man has been created by God.
Still, I feel that belief in God is about more than just trying to explain why we are here.

At the speed of light, time is a dimensionless quantity, so the whole idea of cause and effect is somewhat...difficult.
I find it curious that the first "utterance" is "Let there be light"
As for who created Humphrey, poor old Humphrey does seem to have some problems with occams razor.

the concern is you first ought to define what you propose with the aid of God. And herein lies a great area of the concern. The build is so great, that it may propose notably much something to completely anybody. in case you propose the-guy-in-the-sky, then of direction not. in case you propose the resourceful presence which motives and propels what we call existence, i'm happy with that as God. i'm additionally comfortable with somebody who prefers to not call that God, because of the fact the term consists of plenty bags. To me, that resourceful essence, manifests and permeates all issues. So, you ought to argue that each physique is finally in God. God is a continuum of existence and all that brought about it to be. in the human international right here in the international, issues happen as quickly as we are out of cohesion with that resourceful essence. A classic occasion are wars, environmental degradation and the elementary theory that some people, certainly beings, are by some potential lesser than we are. genuine evil starts off with the belief we are separate and not interconnected. this is plenty less demanding to look down on somebody in the event that they're "different."

God always was. No need to speak of a creation of God.
There is good scientific precedent for this. Before the big bang theory, many scientists including Einstein assumed that the universe had always been and therefore there was no need to speak of the beginning of the universe. Einstein became very unhappy when confronted with solid evidence that the universe began.

Christians will say you cannot understand God's existence, then make up all kinds of elaborate explanation for god. It's silly.
Can't they just admit that it makes no sense?
It's like believing in Santa Clause... except St. Nick has more evidence for his existence.

Okay serious answer to your fun post. Assume that eternity is circular not linear. Then there is no need for a creator. "Things" always were, are and will always be. Always changing only to return to their previous state. Cycling in and out of a black hole/big bang.

Funny. God created time so that our pea brains could wrap ourselves around it. I don't believe for one moment that God is restricted by the laws of time and space we govern our lives by. Our heads would probably pop if we thought too much on that one.
However, the more I think about
