Unfortunately, from experience, yes it does work. It was not the dead I was talking though. They were spirits that pretended to be my loved ones. The ouja board is not something to play around with. If you do get one, the best thing to do is burn it. I was about 13 or 14 when I was dumb enough to mess with one and I never want to be around another one.

The Ouija board is nothing more than a tool to focus the concentration of the person using it, it does not, in and of itself, have any inherant power. Spirit contact is quite a real phenomena, but should not be attmepted bu those that are untrained in the proper disciplines to avoid some of the more unpleasant psychological and physiological consequences of such contact.

Just like with psychics, sometimes it seems like it is nothing real and sometimes it's spot on. But the problem is that using the Ouija board (or contacting a psychic) invites demonic powers to come work in your life. They sometimes give real knowledge of the future, even things that may seem helpful, in order to lure you into the occult. Their aim is your destruction because they hate all of humanity.
Have nothing to do with using the Ouija board, tarot cards, horoscopes, any form of astrology, etc. Read "The Bondage Breaker" by Neil T. Anderson & get deliverance from any demonic oppression that may have come through "doors" you opened to the occult.

It has been proven time and time again that it is a total and complete sham. It "works" off the same principles that allow people to find something you've hidden by just holding your wrist.
I don't recommend any "spiritual" device as your beliefs strongly affect your perceptions, i.e. you believe in magic and suddenly the world is full of it - even when it is not.

Yes it is a method of use to contact the dead which is of evil and is a form of witchcraft. And anything that is not of God I do not recommend because it opens the door for the devil to come into our lives.

I think it contacts the evil side yes.
It is reaching out to something I have had experiences with it too and it predicted a friends death because she asked it. Now if she would have changed her ways before then I think it wouldn't have happened. I can give her name where, the day and how her death happened.
Several of my friends were there when she asked this dumb question so I'm not saying this to just to say it.

My answer is, if you believe that it works and dabble in the magics for the wrong reasons you are setting yourself up to let evils in that you may not want.
If you do not believe in them, the spirits have no reason to want to come to you so they do not work.
There has to be something to them, their are way to many people of way different beliefs that are creeped out by them.

It's the ideomotor effect:

They are pushing it around subconsciously. If you blindfold the people participating, it spells nothing.
