OK Robert maybe someone planted all those stumps and roots that are there now - they went out in the dead of night to fabricate the physical evidence of the MWP..... Yep. They're Potemkin Village tree lines, and the Viking farming colony in Greenland, that was a Potemkin village too.

Oh right, they also moved the Sierra Nevadas to the American West - from Europe......

Right Bob..... Good answer. NOT!

Clearly the trees were living at higher elevations showing that the temperatures were warmer 1,000 years ago than they are today.

What ever proof you have, it will quickly be dismisses as heresy by the believers. They are so imbedded in their faith that facts are no longer relevant.

I have proof that the sea levels were over an inch below where they were 160 years ago, and that was dismissed as well.

To get past the dogma of their faith is as hard as changing a mans religion.

1. Would, Man In the Box, Again, and Rooster. 2. I'm not sure if Anthony Keidis is clean now, but I think he is. 3. Grunge. They were very influential along with the many other grunge bands in the 90's. 4. No way man, at least change the name of the band. While Jerry Cantrell is a GOD, no Layne, no Chains. Dave Grohl made another band after Kurt died and guess what? It's great! Had it stayed Nirvana it wouldn't be the same.

Care to show your sources? Tree lines are where they are because of a number of factors, not just temperature.

There was a relatively warm period (Medieval Warm Period, MWP) 1000 years ago. It seems to have been more important in Europe than most other places.

But we've now gone past it. Ten peer reviewed studies here, showing the MWP is context:

Note how much more abrupt the present warming is, also. More details here:

Climate Changes affect the tree line yes, but so does deforestation and creep. Creep is the biggest factor. Creep is when the soil of the mountains begins to slowly fall down the mountain, taking the trees with it. so the tree line ends up lower on the mountain than it was in the years before.

Because the mountains were little short things.

BTW, who measured them 1,000 years ago?
