I am looking to increase my ecological footprint to offset the work done by treehuggers. How can I do this without costing me more money or time. I am looking for lazy and cheap ways to do more. I can't go out and heat a 20 room mansion or fly private jets like Mr. Gore

Unfortunately, fiscal conservatism, i.e., the need to conserve one's economic resources, is ecologically friendly. Face it, if we were all destitute and had to grow or hunt our own food, there would be far fewer of us and we would not have the technological capability to pollute. One's ecological footprint is directly proportional to one's affluence.

Therefore, the only way you can increase your capability to pollute is to increase your wealth. Focus your energies on becoming more affluent and you will meet your goal.

it's really hard. if you own a company or have influence in companies, it becomes somewhat easy.
there are things many companies do to save money that increase their ecological footprint.
although, most of those things use the justification of a short term increase in profit, whereas things that reduce the ecological footprint increase profits in the long term....

hmm. there's not much you can do, actually. anything you do individually will be so small that it won't really offset anything. and actually the work done by treehuggers is still extremely small compared to what could be done.

it appears as though everything you could do to increase your ecological footprint without costing money or time is already happening en masse by big corporations, so all of your attempts are futile.

oh! you could do some illegal things. like cutting some holes in the big bags in the parking lots of Wal-Marts, or any other similar-looking bags.
you could try chopping down a telephone pole out in the middle of nowhere. that would require that a lot of energy be spent bringing the equipment to fix it to and from the pole. oh, but that might be counteracted by causing a power outage in an aread for weeks, and thus forcing people to not spend any energy.

... shoot, i can't think of anything that would work well enough. sorry :(

Keep posting questions like this.

It gets the emotionally involved on the other side absolutely freak out.

They expend resources answering (or is it more fair to say act the flamer to your troll?)

They call their friends and they all shout at each other at what an idiot you are and how noble and intelligent they are. They do this over the phone, via computer, etc.

They feel there are so many ignorant people out there they spend huge resources trying to (re)educate you.

I am sure you can add to the list.

Good job! You just boosted the size of your footprint, bro!

There's a very cheap way. Go catch bird flu (make sure it is human to human transmition) and run about spreading it to everyone, and it finally overcomes your body.

The financial loss you cause to your country, and to the world econmony will be simply staggering.

Plus you will have the added bennifit of titanic numbers of coffins being built, and graves dug. Do you have any idea how much wood, bronze, and cement that would use up?

Wow...you could cause total word devistation.

Is that so? Because it looks to me like you're more trying to be an ****** on the Internet than increase your Eco-footprint.

There is no cheap way. You will have to be rich to do that.
