2 wks ago my ex moved out with a dear jon letter while we were in the middle of couseling and had just filed for a marriage license. well this past weekend he sent me a letter in the mail professing his love to me along with a check to help me out with somethings that he promised when we were together and and asking me if I wanted to finish counseling that he would and if i would sit down and meet and talk with him. should I meet with him? i'm not sure if i should because this is the 2nd time he's walked out please help.

That depends on you... just ask yourself that u still love him or not.... try to think what was the reason for break up... then have a brief councelling in your mind....and decide wheather u can afford to stay with him or not...

maybe his leaving you two times was out of some sort of fear that YOU were going to abandon HIM, so he left before you got the chance....
some people do have abandonment issues, or are fearful of committment.
he probably does love you and care, but you are probably going to have to make some agreements... he can't just walk out on you and "run scared" every time he has an issue. if you two can agree to talk about your problems, and try to work them out, that might help... and he needs to promise to stop walking out on you.
i'm sure he feels guilty, along with fearful for whatever reasons.
getting together to talk is entirely up to you. i sure hope it works out.

your in a tough situation-try to work things out with him i guess but you need to tell him not to keep walking out on you like that because enough is enough and if you two were meant to be then you's should be together

It really sounds like he has some issues, but you may always wonder "WHAT IF?" if you don't at least hear him out. What will it hurt if you meet with him?
