Well I know they do.
I was a creationist.
Until I got an education, asked questions they didn't like, and thus could not back up.
So I don't subscribe to their 'theories' any more.
Cue the 'God Squad' reaction here....
I'm guessing 8 thumbs-down...

I see things that are happing now which are a lie but how many others do ,,juist look at Northen Rock when people see a lot of people takeing thier money out they all follow the crowd ,now if there are more branches most would not notice a few here or there and it is the same for a lot of banks .
The people in charge are all trying to make more money by cutting cost, look at are hospitals how they have closed so many,if or should i say we are hit by some great sickness and one of such hospital has to shut up shop for awhile were are the other people going to treated as there are to few now as i see it wisdom has gone out of the window, look at are churches when few people are seen to go of a sunday others believe that numbers of believes has gone down as well, as i say do not believe all you see as a fact of evdence or hear .
And it is the next one thousand years you should be looking at, as they you mybe able to do somthing about

No I believe that the earth is millions and possibly billions of yrs old,.....many more mysteries to be uncovered but it is evident from fossils and even the heavens show that we have been around for time that exceeds the 6000 yr tale from even my own brethren,... but there are many that ignore what goes against what they have been taught.....I still love my people even if they don't understand the simplicity of the word.
God created the Heavens and Earth. Period......It does not give a time span at all.
Peace

I am a Creationists & a Christians, There was a prehistoric world before Adam & Eve. It is in the bible if people knows how to read & understand instead of just read. I will say this earth is millions of years old if not billions, but The first thing that was created in God's image is the soul of Adam.

The earth was not created in 7 literal days but periods of time. The British Museum even agrees that civilisations have only be found as far back as 6-7000 years ago. So I am still believing that I was created cos it sure makes sense to me.

I was once a creationist and did believe that. Still, some of us come to realise the truth... eventually.

That is what they will claim. According to them the devil placed fossils to fool us or they will say god did it to test us.
And yet they refuse to accept all the creditable evidence that supports the earth is about 4.5 Billion years old.

Umm, what if the stories in the Bible, a lot of them, were "myths", you know, like stories with symbols in them, where "7 days" could be symbolic of any number of years, and Adam and Eve could be symbolic of different aspects of our psyches?
Literalism kills when it comes from fundamentalists, including fundamentalist atheists, who deny the existence of any God by any definition, because obviously there is no grey-bearded old man in the sky, right?

A flaw of Christianity?!? How ignorant you people are!
Not all Christians nor all Creationists believe the earth is only 6000 years old.
This is not a flaw in our faith; it is a dispute of a matter of relative unimportance.
Where we go when we leave this earth - now that is important!
