I think it is pretty unrealistic to say that a team is bad after the third week of the season. Losing to the Patriots and the Packers isn't anything to be ashamed of. And after having a new coaching regime put in over the off season, it is possible that the Chargers are just expierencing some growing pains. It is unrealistic to expect a 14 win season any year, much less two seasons in a row. Wait until after week 6, when the Chargers will have played three games against their divisional opponents before deciding how good or bad they might be.

As for the Bears...

Yes, they are playing some horrible football as an entire team. When your kick returner is a required offensive weapon, then you are going to have serious problems.

A) The Bears offense sucks, period. If they had anything resembling a real quarterback, they might be undefeated.

B) The Chargers cut loose a coach who finished 14-2 with them last year, and replaced him with a coach who has a lifetime losing record, and brought a new system with him that the players are learning as they go. San Diego has arguably the most talent on both sides of the ball, and the owners have chosen to piss this moment in time away. In the NFL, you have a small window of opportunity to win, and the Chargers' is now. The owners, because of their personal vendetta against Marty Schottenheimer, will likely not.

No. The bears are good. It is Grossman who can't seem to find any consistency.
Also, Dallas is just plain awesome! They wore down that strong Chicago D. That was partly the fault of Grossman for not keeping the offense on the field long enough, but mostly because the Dallas D was swarming last night. The Dallas Cowboys had a point to prove, and they proved it. They are a contender for the NFC championship.

The Bears keep blaming Grossman for all their troubles, but actually the defense is over rated and the offense as a whole is not that good either, their only weapon is their special teams
