is the pill effective in the week you start taking it?

i have just finished my period and have started taking the pill again,do i have to wait a week for it to get into my system again?

i have been taking it for afull month

i would use a condom aswell,very responsible

if you started taking the pill on the 1st day of your last period you are protected from day 1, but if you started mid or naer to the end of your cycle then you need to take the full packet and wait until the start of the next packet b4 you are protected. so if you plan to have sex make sure you use other methods of contraception i.e the condom. but the best method of birth control is both the pill and the condom together so if you 4get to take the pill the chance of an unwated pregnancy is less also you dont have the fear of any sti's as well
