You would ask that.
The universe is expanding at the speed of light, and as (theoretically) you can never exceed the speed of light (because time stops at the speed of light and goes backwards if you exceed it... theoretically...) you would never be able to reach the edge of the universe - which is constantly expanding. Therefore, at any given instant the universe is a constant size (i.e., "finite"), but because it is expanding at the speed of light is considered "unbounded". They say that the universe is then "finite (of limited size) but unbounded" (has no distinct border) because (theoretically) you could never reach the edge - its moving away too fast.
Confused yet? Astrophysics gets into some pretty bizarre stuff.
Now get on board my starship and we'll take a look around. All of you. I mean it. ;)
Top o' the morning to ya, Caz! 5:33 a.m. here - sanity was never one of my strong suits... LOL!

Turn right at the corner, keep going down. When you see the sign that says "edge of the universe >>> " Go that way, keep going. You'll get there when you fall into outerspace.

Depends where you are in the world...
... If you're in London, it's about 35 miles.
Tunbridge Wells is the centre of the Universe!!!
Sorry, I do not know the real answer but I should imagine that it is very far away.

You just keep going through the black, past stars and Galaxy's and when you get to the end of the universe, it all goes white!
My self and a friend had this conversation many, many years ago while on acid and that's what we came up with! lol
